About Me

Demi Lorey, M.S. LPC

Demi graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2018 with a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology and began practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas (license number 82086). Demi is an adjunct professor at Abilene Christian University where she teaches and supervises graduate student therapists in their practicum courses.

Demi has focused on making therapy a safe place for others to come as they are and have the freedom to work through their struggles openly, without fear of judgement. Collaboration is at the heart of her practice– her goal is to walk alongside clients and aid them in making sense of their story through compassion and empathy, promoting hope along the way.

Demi incorporates several different therapeutic approaches into her practice to provide care that is tailored to each of her clients and their own unique needs. Demi specializes in treating trauma and anxiety primarily through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). However, she works with various mental health concerns across adolescent and adult populations.

Demi has a physical office space in Abilene where she provides in person therapy services to the greater Big Country and offers tele-therapy services to residents throughout the state of Texas.
